Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Willian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Hirano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Hirano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bobby Hirano!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Willian manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hirano on his heels. He'll look to pass Hirano's guard now, I'm sure.
Hirano has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Tokyo Totally Gym + Sauna. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Willian controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hirano has his hands on Willian's head, controlling the position.
Willian is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Phil Willian wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Willian gets tackled into the cage by Hirano. Hirano maintains the clinch.

Hirano drops back, looking for a kneebar! Willian looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Willian looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Willian!
The referee asks Willian politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Willian prefers to stall for the moment though.

Hirano throws a combination. Willian tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Willian shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hirano as he jumps to the side.

Hirano gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Hirano is desperately trying to improve his position but Willian has a good base and remains in mount.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Willian tries for a takedown but Hirano circles away easily
and Hirano counters with a left and a right that stings Willian.
Willian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hirano misses with a head kick.
Hirano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Willian paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Phil Willian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Willian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Willian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Willian tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Hirano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

Hirano is letting Willian control him for a moment.
Hirano can't do much from the bottom here.

Willian tries to advance to mount but Hirano denies him.
Hirano tries to buck Willian off but Willian is having none of it.
Phil Willian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Willian stands up and beckons Hirano to his feet.

Willian works to advance to full mount. Hirano defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Willian lands a couple of good shots and Hirano has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hirano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Willian has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Willian is working to tighten his grip on Hirano's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hirano has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Willian is really squeezing tight and eventually Hirano passes out! Willian breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
