Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pu Pachaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pachaka takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pachaka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes.

Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Pachaka shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pachaka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pachaka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.

Pachaka is working for a kimura but Johnson is defending it quite comfortably.
Johnson tries to kick Pachaka off but Pachaka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pachaka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pachaka drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pachaka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Pachaka's legs - danger averted.

Pachaka looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Johnson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Pachaka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.
Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Pachaka is retaining full guard.

Pachaka is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well.

Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson is posturing up here but Pachaka has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Johnson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Johnson has to tap! Slick submission there by Pachaka!
