Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downtime's entrance music is Bring It. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Slick's choice of entrance music: Careful With That Axe Eugene. Oil Slick has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Downtime.
Slick tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Downtime has been working on his boxing with his coaches at SS Elite 15 ELITE Coaches **CLEAN** in the buildup to the fight.
Oil Slick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Downtime throws a right and a left that both miss.

Downtime is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slick knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Downtime wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Slick, who protects the arm well.

A close round but Oil Slick will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Slick connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Downtime leaves Slick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Slick feints and then cracks Downtime's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Downtime down.

Downtime lands a high kick to the side of Slick's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Downtime dives into guard, looking to finish.

Downtime postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Slick looks a forlorn figure.

The cut above Oil Slick's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Downtime wants to get back to his feet but Slick is holding on tight.

Downtime is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Slick can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Downtime is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Slick has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Slick!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
