PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Narcoleptic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Magic Snowball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magic Snowball closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Magic Snowball passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Narcoleptic!
Narcoleptic is controlling an arm, preventing Magic Snowball from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Magic Snowball is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Narcoleptic is just riding it out for now. Magic Snowball eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Magic Snowball postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Narcoleptic is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Magic Snowball, into his guard.

Magic Snowball escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Narcoleptic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Narcoleptic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Magic Snowball escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Narcoleptic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Magic Snowball has his foot on Narcoleptic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Narcoleptic works his way back into a safe position though.

Magic Snowball working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Narcoleptic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Narcoleptic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Magic Snowball goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Narcoleptic turns into him and now he's in Magic Snowball's guard.

Magic Snowball had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Narcoleptic is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Magic Snowball Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Narcoleptic's back instead.

Magic Snowball has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Narcoleptic has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Narcoleptic is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Magic Snowball gets his way!

Magic Snowball has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Narcoleptic is defending well but eventually Magic Snowball manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Narcoleptic has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
