Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derec Negreanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negreanu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Break on Through. Derec Negreanu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Rodrigues.

It looks like Derec Negreanu has been cut.
A jab from Rodrigues misses.
Negreanu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rodrigues throws out the jab.
Negreanu dodges the punch combination from Rodrigues.
Rodrigues misses with a wild combination.
Negreanu dips to his left and cracks Rodrigues with an uppercut!
Negreanu swings for the body but Rodrigues moves out of range.
Rodrigues throws a hook but Negreanu blocks it.
Rodrigues throws a right hand that misses
and Negreanu counters with a one-two to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rodrigues throws a good cross that connects.
Negreanu thuds a left hand into Rodrigues's body.
Fabricio Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Negreanu.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Negreanu scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Rodrigues is rocked!
Rodrigues throws a hook but Negreanu blocks it.
Nice uppercut lands for Rodrigues. That snapped Negreanu's head back.
A big left from Rodrigues misses.
Rodrigues misses with a straight left.
Rodrigues connects with the punch.
Negreanu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Rodrigues sends Negreanu crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rodrigues is motioning to the referee to let Negreanu up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Negreanu is rocked!
Rodrigues looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rodrigues lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Negreanu up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Rodrigues from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Negreanu's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
