The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mvungi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mvungi throws a shot from downtown. Cottero moves away and avoids it.
Mvungi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mvungi misses with a combination
and Cottero counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sloppy strikes from Mvungi. Those never looked like landing.
Mvungi stuns Cottero with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A head kick misses from Cottero.
Cottero throws a hook but Mvungi avoids it easily.
Cottero pivots, looking for a leg kick but Mvungi is out of range and Cottero settles back down.
Cottero changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Cottero steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mvungi.
Cottero throws an overhand right that lands on Mvungi's shoulder, as Mvungi tries to avoid the shot.
Cottero connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mvungi throws a shot from downtown. Cottero moves away and avoids it.
Cottero shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Mvungi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cottero.
Cottero throws a solid leg kick but Mvungi takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cottero.

Cottero throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Cottero tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mvungi was well out of range. Poor timing from Cottero.
Mvungi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cottero.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mvungi, as that shot connected.
Cottero throws a leg kick but Mvungi moved away.

Mvungi misses with a left hand
and Cottero counters with a right hand to the body.
Cottero moves out of range of the strikes.
Cottero throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mvungi on the side of the head.
Mvungi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cottero.
Cottero lands a leg kick that knocks Mvungi off balance momentarily.
Cottero throws a push kick but Mvungi slaps the foot to one side.
Mvungi misses with a two punch combination.
Mvungi tries to bum rush Cottero with a series of wild strikes but Cottero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mvungi throws a lazy uppercut
and Cottero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cottero pushes Mvungi away with a front kick.
Cottero throws a nice inside leg kick.
Cottero is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Mvungi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mvungi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Cottero darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Mvungi's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Cottero before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
