Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Et tu, Brute?. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Caesar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reggie Smalls!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smalls misses with an uppercut.
Caesar misses with a body kick.
Caesar throws the kick towards the body but Smalls avoids it.

Smalls gets a double leg takedown into Caesar's guard.
Caesar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Smalls trying to control the position from guard on top but Caesar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Smalls will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reggie Smalls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smalls tries for a takedown but Caesar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Caesar lands a nice looking kick to the body. Smalls takes a step back to recover.
Smalls swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Caesar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Caesar throws a punch but it's blocked by Smalls.

Smalls has hold of one of Caesar's legs. Caesar is fighting the takedown attempt but Smalls gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Smalls is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Smalls tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Caesar defends well and Smalls ends up having to push Caesar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smalls is staying active underneath Caesar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

A close second round but Reggie Smalls will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Let's hope that Smalls has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
