Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Bowie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Karate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Bowie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Joey Karate!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karate checks a leg kick.
Karate shoots in looking for a takedown. Bowie tries to sprawl out of it but Karate keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bowie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bowie jabs at Karate's body.
Bowie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A jab from Bowie does it's job there.
Bowie throws a body kick that misses.
Bowie connects with a solid leg kick.
Karate will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karate fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
James Bowie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Karate.
Bowie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Karate goes for a double leg but Bowie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bowie continues to drive forward.
Karate fails to pull guard.
Bowie throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Karates head.

Karate pulls guard successfully.
Bowie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Karate is keeping the position for now.

Karate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bowie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bowie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bowie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Karate keeping moving, preventing Bowie from controlling successfully.
Bowie is looking to work some ground and pound but Karate has wrist control.
Bowie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karate swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Karate can't keep his opponent in guard - Bowie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Karate is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bowie pulls his head out easily.

Karate avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bowie.
Karate moves into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bowie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Karate has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowie has managed to get both his arms back between Karate's legs - danger averted.

Karate escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bowie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bowie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Karate has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowie has managed to get both his arms back between Karate's legs - danger averted.

Karate is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bowie is aware though and is defending well.

Bowie sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Karate trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Karate has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bowie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bowie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bowie tries to land a front kick but Karate steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Karate doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bowie counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Karate keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bowie uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bowie slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bowie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karate moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Karate chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bowie can pounce on him.
Karate on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
James Bowie is winning the standup battle so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bowie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Karate darts in looking for a takedown but Bowie gets double underhooks and turns Karate into the cage.
Bowie lands a left hand that snaps the head of Karate backwards.

Bowie has hold of one of Karate's legs. Karate is fighting the takedown attempt but Bowie gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Bowie throws an elbow that misses. Karate uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bowie's guard. Nice move by Karate!

Bowie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Karate throws a big right hand that misses.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Karate on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Joey Karate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bowie cracks Karate with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Karate feints and as Bowie raises his hands in defense, Karate changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bowie pulls Karate in close to his closed guard and prevents Karate from doing any damage or advancing position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Karate dives in and grabs Bowie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bowie pushes down on Karate's head and hops out.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bowie. Karate does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karate shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bowie as he avoids it easily.
Karate dives in for a single leg takedown but Bowie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Karate shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowie sprawls well. He's pushed Karate's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Karate is breathing heavily.
Bowie walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Karate checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Karate shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Karate takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Bowie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karate manages to avoid it.
Karate seems to have recovered his senses.

Karate shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bowie sprawls well. Bowie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Karate gets slowly back to his feet.

Bowie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Karate has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bowie lands a slapping body shot.
Karate shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bowie as he avoids it easily.
Bowie cracks Karate with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bowie scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bowie. That's going to slow Karate down.
Karate takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bowie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Karate can do to turn this around?

Bowie steps into range and cracks Karate with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Karate flops backwards and Bowie dives into his guard looking to finish!

Karate drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bowie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bowie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bowie!
James Bowie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Karate tries to improve position but can't.

James Bowie showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bowie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
