Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darius Kniezelis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kniezelis comes to the cage accompanied by SH - Cukrus. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Kniezelis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Lock!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kniezelis closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like John Lock has been cut.
Lock loads up on a big right hand but Kniezelis slips the punch.
Lock throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kniezelis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kniezelis misses with a few strikes there.
Kniezelis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lock clinches with his opponent.
Lock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kniezelis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lock slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kniezelis digs a good body shot into Lock's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kniezelis cracks Lock with an open hand slap.
Kniezelis thows a body shot but no joy.
Lock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kniezelis throws a sloppy head kick and Lock moves out of range easily.
A shot to the liver by Kniezelis. Beautiful body shot.
A left and a right from Kniezelis both land. Nice combination.
A left and a right from Lock both land. Nice combination.
Kniezelis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lock scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kniezelis lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kniezelis.
Lock has a takedown stuffed.
Kniezelis misses with a body kick.
Lock slips a jab and a cross from Kniezelis.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A head kick misses from Kniezelis.
A jab from Kniezelis misses.
Lock avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kniezelis throws an overhand right that lands on Lock's shoulder, as Lock tries to avoid the shot.
Kniezelis tries a head kick but it misses.
Lock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No joy there for Kniezelis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lock takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kniezelis is breathing heavily.
Lock moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kniezelis is looking to wear down Lock with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nice uppercut there from Lock.
Kniezelis throws a right and a left that both miss.

Lock drops his shoulder and cracks Kniezelis with a huge uppercut! Kniezelis goes down! Can Lock finish him?


Kniezelis is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lock controls from within his opponent's guard.
Oh Kniezelis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lock stands and steps away. Kniezelis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kniezelis is aggressively charging in as Lock backs up avoiding any damage. Lock tosses out a jab and Kniezelis runs right into it face first! Kniezelis is out cold! Lock dropped down on all fours and is barking in Kniezelis's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Lock!
