Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andy Alfredo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hopkins scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hopkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alfredo.

Hopkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mikey Hopkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hopkins lands a really nice looking cross but Alfredo seems unphased.
Alfredo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alfredo throws a low kick, looking for Hopkins's leg but Hopkins calmly moves out of range.

Hopkins lands with an overhand left.
Alfredo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alfredo drops his hands momentarily and Hopkins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Alfredo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hopkins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alfredo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hopkins defends it nicely.

Oh Alfredo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alfredo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Alfredo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hopkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hopkins throws out a loose jab but Alfredo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hopkins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alfredo.
Alfredo seems to have got his legs back now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alfredo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hopkins defends well and Alfredo ends up having to push Hopkins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Alfredo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Hopkins misses with some punches.
Alfredo has Hopkins pressed against the cage, preventing Hopkins from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Alfredo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hopkins smiles and moves away.
Mikey Hopkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alfredo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hopkins throws an overhand right that drops Alfredo like a sack of potatoes! Hopkins dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Mikey Hopkins decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
