Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Efriam Haldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Mutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Efriam Haldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordan Mutch!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutch misses with a series of wild punches.
Haldi walks into a jab.
Haldi fails to land with a series of punches.

Haldi forces Mutch back against the cage and clinches.
Haldi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Haldi takes a shot to the head.
Haldi lands an elbow inside.
Mutch is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Haldi lands a body punch in the clinch.
Mutch letting Haldi take a breather here.
Haldi stops a takedown attempt from Mutch.

Haldi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Haldi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haldi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mutch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haldi looking to sit in guard and control but Mutch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mutch trying to control the position from guard on top but Haldi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Haldi has his foot on Mutch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mutch works his way back into a safe position though.
Mutch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Haldi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mutch cracks Haldi with a solid left hand.

Haldi is looking for a triangle but Mutch pushes his legs off easily.

Haldi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mutch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mutch trying to control but Haldi is working from the bottom.

Haldi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mutch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Haldi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mutch postures up and lands a big shot to Haldi's brow.

Haldi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Haldi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mutch defends well.
Haldi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mutch working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Haldi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mutch's guard.

Mutch has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Haldi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mutch.
Haldi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mutch keeps working.
Haldi works to advance to full mount. Mutch defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Haldi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mutch is looking to escape.
Mutch tries to improve his position but instead Haldi has taken his back!
Mutch trying to control the hands but Haldi won't let him.

Haldi is persistently looking for the submission but Mutch is defending it well.
Mutch holding both Haldi 's hands and preventing any damage.

Mutch controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mutch tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Haldi working for a guillotine from mount but Mutch is in no mood to give up.
Mutch tries to hold on but Haldi postures up.
Haldi wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Haldi is working hard here to advance position.

Haldi goes for an armbar but Mutch turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mutch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Efriam Haldi dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Haldi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mutch fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Haldi throws a sloppy head kick and Mutch moves out of range easily.
Mutch closes the distance and clinches up with Haldi, looking for a takedown. Mutch pushes Haldi against the cage but Haldi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mutch throws a series of punches but Haldi moves out of range.
Haldi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Haldi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mutch is looking to clinch.

Haldi moves into the clinch.
Mutch tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Haldi just stands there and leans against the cage.
Efriam Haldi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Mutch.
Haldi is trying to drag Mutch to the mat but Mutch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Haldi scores with an uppercut up the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mutch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Haldi walks away with a smile on his face. Mutch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Efriam Haldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Haldi rushes Mutch and presses him up against the cage.
Haldi lands a body shot in the clinch.
Haldi wants a takedown.
Mutch takes an elbow to the temple.
Mutch tries to score a body lock takedown but Haldi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nice elbow from Haldi.
Haldi lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mutch backwards.
Haldi lands a shoulder strike.
Haldi is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mutch is defending well.

Haldi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Haldi manages to end up in side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mutch regains half guard.

Haldi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mutch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Haldi seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mutch is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
