Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tarquin Fortune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Back in black. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 2, fighting out of London, Tarquin Fortune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 22 - 1, fighting out of London, James Jorge!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorge doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fortune counters with a straight right hand.
Jorge moves out of range of the strikes.
Fortune slips a jab from Jorge.

Jorge gets a double leg takedown into Fortune's guard.
Fortune keeping moving, preventing Jorge from controlling successfully.
Fortune looking to control.
Jorge trying to control the position from guard on top but Fortune is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jorge throws a big right hand that misses.

Jorge looking to pass the guard.
Fortune managing to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Fortune - that will leave a mark!
Jorge shoots for a double leg takedown but Fortune sprawls well. He's pushed Jorge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jorge dives in and scores a takedown into Fortune's guard.
Jorge postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fortune is looking for a triangle but Jorge pushes his legs off easily.
Fortune is looking to stand up but Jorge isn't so interested in that idea.

OK we're going to have a standup here. James Jorge hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jorge looking to score a takedown here. Fortune is defending well but Jorge drives through and ends up in Fortune's guard.
Fortune manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jorge is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jorge tries to reverse the position but Fortune maintains control.

Jorge fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fortune to the ground. Jorge is now in Fortune's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fortune throws a series of punches but Jorge avoids them all with ease.

Tarquin Fortune has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jorge.

and Fortune counters with a stiff right hand.
James Jorge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fortune is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jorge.
A clash of legs there as Jorge blocks the low kick.
Fortune fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jorge has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fortune lands with a nice body kick.
Fortune pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fortune throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Jorge decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fortune's guard.

Fortune keeping moving, preventing Jorge from controlling successfully.
Fortune is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jorge accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jorge loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fortune looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jorge is one step ahead there.
Fortune trying to keep a closed guard but Jorge is proving a slippery customer.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jorge throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jorge trying to control but Fortune is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jorge doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

A nice leg kick lands there from Fortune.
A combination from Jorge does no damage.
Fortune looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fortune attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Jorge avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Jorge will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jorge looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fortune!
Jorge content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Jorge trying to control the action but Fortune is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fortune gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Jorge showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Jorge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jorge lands in his opponent's guard.
James Jorge has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fortune seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jorge slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fortune is not content to let Jorge control the position.
Jorge staying calm.

Fortune tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Fortune is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jorge creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fortune sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Fortune can't do much from the bottom here.
Fortune tries to improve position but can't.
Jorge looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Fortune is avoiding damage well.
Jorge looking to control but instead Fortune has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Jorge takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Fortune is refusing to be controlled, as Jorge sits in half guard.

James Jorge is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fortune is looking to control Jorge's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fortune avoid being mounted?
