The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vonny lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Alistair Overdose has been cut.
Vonny misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vonny lands a big head kick that sends Overdose tumbling to the mat! Vonny takes a step backwards and waves Overdose back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vonny pushes Overdose up against the cage in a clinch.
Overdose has Vonny pressed against the cage, preventing Vonny from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Vonny lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Overdose tries to stall but Vonny uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Vonny tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Our sources have told us that Vonny has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Overdose is looking to control Vonny's arms but Vonny gets an underhook and turns him. Now Overdose has his back to the cage.
Overdose blocks an uppercut.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Vonny throws a head punch that misses.
Vonny misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Vonny fails to land.
The referee is keeping an eye on Overdose - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Vonny tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Overdose wants to stall.

Overdose blocks an uppercut.
Overdose tries to stall but Vonny uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Alistair Overdose.
Overdose gets tackled into the cage by Vonny. Vonny maintains the clinch.
Vonny can't find room to land a body shot as Overdose controls the action.
Vonny digs a right hand underneath Overdose's ribcage. Overdose let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Overdose looks winded!
Overdose drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vonny pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vonny lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Overdose falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chad Vonny!
After winning the bout, Chad Vonny thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
