Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between August Delaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eltato Dealla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, August Delaney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eltato Dealla!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dealla takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Delaney really is a fat lump.
Delaney tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dealla swivels and escapes.
Dealla lands with a nice combination. Delaney backs away looking to recover.


It looks like August Delaney has been cut.
Dealla pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Delaney fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dealla sprawls well initially but Delaney persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Delaney prevents Dealla from standing back up.
Dealla moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dealla wants to sweep here but Delaney controlling him for the moment.

Dealla is controlling Delaney's posture.
Delaney stops Dealla from standing up.
Delaney throwing strikes from guard but Dealla blocks nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Delaney slips a jab and a cross from Dealla.

Dealla taking a break here but Delaney is having none of it and regains half guard.
Dealla wants to stand up but Delaney has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dealla seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eltato Dealla was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Dealla feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dealla closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Delaney's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dealla engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Dealla trying to control the position from guard on top but Delaney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Eltato Dealla has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Delaney looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dealla!

Delaney is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dealla is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dealla is looking to get back to his feet here but Delaney is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dealla's back.

Dealla is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Delaney gets his way!
Dealla tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Dealla is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Dealla is looking to improve his position but Delaney isn't that keen on the idea.

Delaney gets caught napping as Dealla dives in and scores a takedown. Delaney manages to retain guard.
Dealla tries to free his leg and advance position but Delaney is retaining full guard.
Dealla throws a strike but Delaney rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Delaney throws a big elbow that misses.
Delaney has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dealla is proving hard to escape from.
Dealla seems keen to control Delaney's posture.

Delaney gets caught napping as Dealla dives in and scores a takedown. Delaney manages to retain guard.
Delaney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dealla trying to control the position from guard on top but Delaney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dealla takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dealla throws a strike but Delaney rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Delaney decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Dealla changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Delaney looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dealla wants to control but Delaney is keeping him busy.
Delaney avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dealla.
Delaney holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Dealla throws a strike aimed at the side of Delaney's head but Delaney avoids it well.

Dealla wants to control but Delaney is keeping him busy.
Dealla tries to move to mount but Delaney blocks the move with his legs.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Eltato Dealla.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dealla stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Delaney swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dealla stands and steps away. Delaney gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eltato Dealla comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dealla has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
