Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brock Conley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eichiro Sendoh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brock Conley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eichiro Sendoh!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sendoh closes the distance and clinches.

Conley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sendoh moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Conley's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Sendoh jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sendoh tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sendoh keeps trying to improve his position.
Conley with a flurry of punches that miss.
Conley preventing the sweep.
Conley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sendoh is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Eichiro Sendoh hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sendoh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Conley on his heels. He'll look to pass Conley's guard now, I'm sure.
Sendoh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Eichiro Sendoh.
Sendoh slaps away a takedown attempt from Conley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Conley is breathing heavily.
Conley tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sendoh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sendoh throws a sloppy head kick and Conley moves out of range easily.
Eichiro Sendoh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sendoh connects with a looping right hand.


It looks like Brock Conley has been cut.
Conley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sendoh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conley did well to prevent Sendoh getting side control.


Conley is rocked!
Sendoh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Oh Conley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sendoh works his foot free and advances to mount.

Sendoh is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Conley can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Conley is looking to improve his position but Sendoh isn't that keen on the idea.
Conley seems to have got his legs back now.

Sendoh wants to control the pace but Conley is squirming around nicely.

It looks like Sendoh might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Conley tries to hold on but Sendoh pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by Sendoh there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Sendoh tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sendoh cracks Conley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conley is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sendoh misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eichiro Sendoh dominated that round.

That's time! Conley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Sendoh bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Conley sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sendoh wants to free his trapped foot but Conley is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Conley is refusing to be controlled, as Sendoh sits in half guard.

Conley looking for a kimura from the bottom but Sendoh passes into side control!

Sendoh thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sendoh tries to score with some ground and pound. Conley controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sendoh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Conley sprawls well initially but Sendoh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sendoh shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sendoh showed some decent athleticism there.
Sendoh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Conley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sendoh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Conley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sendoh motions for Conley to come forward. Sendoh throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Sendoh wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Conley has him pressed against the cage.

Conley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brock Conley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Eichiro Sendoh is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Conley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Eichiro Sendoh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sendoh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
