Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Severart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stirling Sanguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Severart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stirling Sanguin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severart lands with a hook. Sanguin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Severart throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanguin on the side of the head.
Severart cracks Sanguin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sanguin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanguin.

Severart closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Severart manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sanguin stands up over Severart, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Severart is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sanguin asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Severart throws a right hand that Sanguin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanguin also avoids with ease.

Severart stalks Sanguin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sanguin's face. Sanguin staggers backwards, shaken.
Severart has been working on his balance at Evil Emp-HEAD HUNTERS FIGHTCLUB ELITE4CHEAP//19COA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Sanguin.

Sanguin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sanguin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Severart does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sanguin gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sanguin apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Stirling Sanguin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
