Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luis Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Doby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doby comes into a darkened arena with his song building. International Players Anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luis Barrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Doby!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Doby connects with a nice short shot to Barrera's temple.

Barrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barrera had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Doby defends it easily.
Barrera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Doby is staying active underneath Barrera, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Barrera tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barrera has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Doby is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Barrera is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Barrera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Doby connects with a leg kick. Barrera looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Barrera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Barrera has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Doby is trying desperately to improve position.

Barrera wants to control the pace but Doby is squirming around nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

I would just about give that final round to Shane Doby.
