Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Project Ghetto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Graeme Symons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ghetto comes to the cage accompanied by Beanie Sigel - In The Ghetto. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Symons closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Symons throws a punch but it's blocked by Ghetto.
Ghetto wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ghetto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ghetto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Symons doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Symons manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Symons lands a really nice looking cross but Ghetto seems unphased.
Ghetto tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Symons defends well and Ghetto ends up having to push Symons into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ghetto tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Symons just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Project Ghetto. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ghetto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ghetto postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Symons is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ghetto, into his guard.
