The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Skantze Jr counters with a two punch combo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Skantze Jr.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Skantze Jr, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Skantze Jr against the cage but Skantze Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Skantze Jr avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones thuds a left hand into Skantze Jr's body.
Skantze Jr swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Jones fails to land with a series of punches.

Skantze Jr throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.

John Skantze Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Skantze Jr paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Jones is rocked!

Jones drops his hands for a split second and Skantze Jr immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Jones face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Skantze Jr follows up with a right hand that knocks Jones into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
