Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but King swivels and escapes.
Chen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
Chen fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim Chen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Chen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Chen wants to take the fight to the mat but King manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

King has hold of one of Chen's legs. Chen is fighting the takedown attempt but King gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chen is on top in guard.

King has control of Chen's left arm, preventing Chen from doing any damage.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alex King wasn't active enough on the ground.

King gets the takedown into side control.
Chen is breathing heavily.
King moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Chen can't do much from the bottom here.
King has control of an arm but Chen manages to advance to King's back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

King tries to roll over but Chen keeps him under control.

The fighters are battling for position here. King manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Chen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
King keeping moving, preventing Chen from controlling successfully.
King is trying to control the position but Chen postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

King throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. King is in Chen's guard.
Chen controls King momentarily but King frees himself.

Chen is pulling down on King's head. It's preventing any offense from King, at least for the moment.

Kim Chen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chen.
Chen dives in for a single leg takedown but King sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

King turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Chen tries to improve position but can't.

King is working to tighten his grip on Chen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Chen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but King is really squeezing tight and eventually Chen passes out! King breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
