Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Syphon Filter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William King!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King closes the distance and clinches up with Filter, looking for a takedown. King pushes Filter against the cage but Filter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Filter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Filter tries to clinch there but King circles away.
King slips under a jab from Filter.

Filter drives through and clinches with King against the cage.
King misses with a hook from the clinch.

King drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Filter got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Filter has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.
Filter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.

King has his foot on Filter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Filter works his way back into a safe position though.

Filter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Filter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

King trying to control the position.
Filter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Filter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.

King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Filter's corner is telling him to maintain position.
King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Filter is one step ahead there.
Filter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Filter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

King trying to keep a closed guard but Filter is proving a slippery customer.

Filter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Filter trying to control but King is working from the bottom.

Filter has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing King to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Filter is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - King pulls down on the head and he's put Filter to sleep! This one is all over!

The defeated Syphon Filter had this to say: 'I loss because I was injured. I got a broken skull coming into the fight. If I was healthy, I would have done much better.. I will win next time..'.
