Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jitto Harvanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jitto Harvanen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Melendez.
Harvanen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Melendez. Melendez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Harvanen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A punch lands to the side of Melendez 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Melendez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Harvanen wants to control the position but Melendez says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
