Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gorge Jurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurgel comes to the cage accompanied by Rock N Roll Train. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 36 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gorge Jurgel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgel lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Flare misses with a wild combination.
Flare uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jurgel has time to react.
Flare throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jurgel drops his hands momentarily and Flare takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Flare lands a high kick!
Flare looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jurgel shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Flare eats them both and turns towards Jurgel to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Flare decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Flare is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Flare looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jurgel is holding on to half guard well.
Jurgel slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Flare drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flare jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Flare is fighting to break Jurgel's control of his arms but Jurgel is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jurgel has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Gorge Jurgel wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Jurgel is looking to clinch but Flare is avoiding it.
Jurgel throws a hook but Flare avoids it easily.

Flare manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jurgel on his heels. He'll look to pass Jurgel's guard now, I'm sure.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Flare throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

That was a close round but I would say that Gorge Jurgel will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Flare moves into the clinch.
Jurgel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Flare walks away with a smile on his face. Jurgel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Flare gets a takedown into half guard.
Jurgel is looking to control Flare's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jurgel avoid being mounted?
Flare should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jurgel is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
John Flare has got the better of the ground game so far.

Flare is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Jurgel as he works his way to full guard.
Flare working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jurgel's head.

I would just about give that final round to John Flare.
