Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Granville Medina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petri Granlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medina shoots in but Granlund avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Granlund gets caught napping as Medina dives in and scores a takedown. Granlund manages to retain guard.
Medina might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Medina accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Medina controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Granlund is trying to hold Medina in close to prevent damage but Medina has managed to pass into half guard.

Medina decides to return to a standing position.
Granlund works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Medina shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Granlund as he jumps to the side.

The fighters circling - Granlund throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Medina shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Medina is taking a breather. Granlund says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Medina lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Medina seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Medina is nestled in close to Granlund, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Medina thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Medina seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Granlund is trying to keep Medina in close.
Medina working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Granlund's head.
Granlund not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Medina stops Granlund from standing up.
Granlund is trying to control the position but Medina postures up.

Petri Granlund has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Medina tries to clinch but Granlund moves out of range.
Granlund is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Petri Granlund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Medina with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Granlund to score with a decent uppercut.

Granlund lands with a nice combination. Medina backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Granville Medina has been cut.
Medina moves away from the strike by Granlund.
Granlund throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Medina stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Medina walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Granlund swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
