Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Hannibal!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hannibal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mullen tries to avoid it but Hannibal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mullen to the ground. Mullen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A left and a right from Hannibal both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Delmar Mullen has been cut.
Hannibal dives in and grabs Mullen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mullen pushes down on Hannibal's head and hops out.
Hannibal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mullen counters by moving into the clinch.
Delmar Mullen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Hannibal.

Hannibal is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

James Hannibal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
