Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Berkowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Do comes into the arena with The Godfather Theme Song blaring out of the sound system. Berkowitz has chosen Macabre - Son Of Sam as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Do could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to David Berkowitz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Berkowitz!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Do looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Do loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Do is looking to work some ground and pound but Berkowitz has wrist control.

Do postures up in Berkowitz's guard and throws a big left but Berkowitz blocks it.
Do is working Berkowitz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Do trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Do in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Do throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Berkowitz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Do controls from within his opponent's guard.

Berkowitz looking for a sweep. Not yet Berkowitz, not yet.
Do stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berkowitz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Do throws a strike but Berkowitz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Berkowitz wants to pass the guard but Do is keeping the position.

Michael Do has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Do on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Do fails to land with a series of punches.
Do throws a series of punches but Berkowitz moves out of range.
Berkowitz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Do.
A looping hook to the body misses from Do. Berkowitz does a little dance to reset his feet.

Berkowitz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Do falls off balance throwing a combination
and Berkowitz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

David Berkowitz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Do displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Berkowitz throws out the jab.

Berkowitz motions for Do to come forward. Berkowitz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Do will probably get the nod.

Berkowitz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Do's calf.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

David Berkowitz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Do's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Do lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

A low kick from Berkowitz is predictable there
and Do counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Do with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Berkowitz to score with a decent uppercut.

Nice uppercut lands for Berkowitz. That snapped Do's head back.
Do tries to bum rush Berkowitz with a series of wild strikes but Berkowitz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Berkowitz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Do was well out of range. Poor timing from Berkowitz.

Berkowitz punishes Do's body with a nice straight punch.
Do takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice defenses there by Do.
Do changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Berkowitz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Do on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Do shoots for a double leg takedown but Berkowitz sprawls well. He's pushed Do's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Berkowitz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Berkowitz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
