Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pete Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Pete Alexander has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.

Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alexander was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Alexander wants to sweep but no luck.
Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. William Johnson was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Alexander darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Alexander into the cage.
Johnson is trying to drag Alexander to the mat but Alexander just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Alexander has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Alexander postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Alexander creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Johnson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alexander tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alexander to the ground. Alexander escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alexander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alexander off to one side.

Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alexander manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
