PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Probert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Probert comes to the cage accompanied by Suffer, Conquer - Throwdown. Bob Probert has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Probert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Probert.
Stevens on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Stevens fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Probert to the ground. Stevens is now in Probert's guard.
Stevens stands up over Probert, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Probert utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Stevens gets to his feet - Probert follows without any prompting.
Stevens shoots in for a double leg but Probert sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stevens shoots in looking for a takedown but Probert manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stevens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stevens tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Probert defends well and Stevens ends up having to push Probert into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bob Probert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Stevens.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Probert.

It looks like Kevin Stevens has been cut.
A right hook to the body lands for Probert.
Probert throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Stevens looks winded!
Probert lands an uppercut.
Probert misses with a punch to the body.
Probert pushes Stevens back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Probert lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Probert digs a right hand into Stevens's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Stevens's gas tank.
Probert lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Probert lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Stevens's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Probert lands a right hand.

Stevens is rocked!
Probert lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stevens is still on wobbly legs! Can Probert finish him?
Probert lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Stevens to his knees! Probert keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Probert!
A relieved looking Bob Probert thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
