Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Luiz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Luiz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jones misses with a straight right.
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luiz circles away quickly and effectively.
David Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Luiz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Luiz gets slowly back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. David Luiz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

It looks like David Luiz has been cut.

Luiz tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Luiz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Luizs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Luiz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Luiz looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.

and Luiz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Jones walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Luiz drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Jones swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Luiz's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
