The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Shankoli.

It looks like Angel Leon has been cut.
Shankoli lands a nice looking body shot.
Shankoli bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Leon is looking to clinch but Shankoli is avoiding it.
Leon throws a head kick that misses.
Leon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Shankoli lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shankoli swivels and escapes.
Shankoli lands a right hook to the body.
Leon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shankoli scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
A lazy left from Shankoli finds it's target.
Leon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Leon is breathing heavily.
Nice shot lands for Shankoli.

Shankoli lands a jab to Leon's midsection.

Shankoli sends Leon crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shankoli is motioning to the referee to let Leon up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Leon is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shankoli changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Shankoli's coach down at Cylon Training Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shankoli's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Nice sprawl there from Shankoli as Leon shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Leon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Leon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Leon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Shankoli throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Shankoli scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Shankoli digs a good body shot into Leon's ribs.
Shankoli comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Shankoli cracks Leon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Leon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shankoli finish him?
Oh Leon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Angel Leon's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Leon bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Shankoli comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Leon falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Leon was out before he hit the floor!
