Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferey Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jefferey Gump!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gump slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Gump throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones lands with a straight right. Gump didn't see that one coming.
Some wild striking there from Jones.

Gump closes the distance and clinches.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gump has him pressed against the cage.
Gump trying to stall but Jones improves his position.
Gump presses Jones against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Gump lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Gump tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Gump.

Gump feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Gump changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones is breathing heavily.
Gump is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
It looks like Gump might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gump goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jones continues to drive forward.

Gump manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jones on his heels. He'll look to pass Jones's guard now, I'm sure.

Jefferey Gump comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gump has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
