Griffin comes to the cage accompanied by Forrest Griffin . Squirrel has chosen Zombie Vandals - Zombie Sluts as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Steve Squirrel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Squirrel drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Griffin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Squirrel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Griffin seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Squirrel distracts Griffin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Griffin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Squirrel has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on Griffin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Griffin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Squirrel lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Squirrel works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Griffin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Squirrel on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Squirrel is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Squirrel looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Squirrel is working to tighten his grip on Griffin's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Griffin has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Squirrel is really squeezing tight and eventually Griffin passes out! Squirrel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Steve Squirrel seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
