Danielson has chosen Living Color - Cult of Personality as his entrance music. Nari Vari could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ray Danielson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ray Danielson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Danielson misses.
Danielson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vari seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Danielson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vari can pounce on him.

and Vari makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Danielson tries to clinch but Vari moves out of range.

Vari fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Danielson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vari closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Vari keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Danielson's efforts to push away.

Vari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vari misses with a kick to the body.
Danielson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Vari throws a shot to the body.
Danielson jabs Vari to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Danielson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vari paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vari goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

A bone on bone clash there as Vari blocks the leg kick.
Danielson wants to clinch up but Vari keeps it at a distance.

and Vari counters with a good low kick that Danielson was not able to check.

Vari ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Danielson misses with a lunging right hand
and Vari counters with a slapping leg kick.
Vari throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vari uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Danielson.
Vari lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Danielson tries to clinch but Vari is having none of it.
Vari scores with the left hand. Danielson knows he should have avoided that one.
Danielson throws a head kick that misses.
Danielson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Danielson tries to close the distance and clinch but Vari swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Vari escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Danielson throws the left hand but Vari avoids the punch easily.

Danielson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Vari misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vari lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Danielson stuns Vari with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vari looks to score with a jab to the body but Danielson is just out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Vari. That snapped Danielson's head back.
A punch combination from Vari misses.
Vari checks the leg kick nicely there.
Vari scores with a body shot.
Vari lands with a straight right. Danielson didn't see that one coming.
Vari misses with a wild body shot.
Vari stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Vari avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Danielson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Danielson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vari - the referee stops the clock and Danielson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vari. Danielson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Vari takes a swing at Danielson's ribcage but misses.
Danielson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Vari connects with an inside leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Danielson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Danielson takes one to the chin there.
Danielson misses with a hook. Vari ducked under it nicely.

Danielson is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A left lands for Vari.
Danielson is still on wobbly legs! Can Vari finish him?
Danielson swings for the body but Vari moves out of range.

Vari lands with a straight right. Danielson didn't see that one coming.
Vari turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Vari counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Danielson! He's just covering up as Vari starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
