With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Mayor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayor misses the shot to the body.
Mayor lands an overhand right.
A big right from Mayor misses.
Mayor misses with a wild combination.
Mayor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Li closes the distance but Mayor moves to the side
and Mayor counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Li looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mayor lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Li at a distance.
Li throws a shot from downtown. Mayor moves away and avoids it.
Li misses with a straight right.
Li looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Li takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like John Li has been cut.
Mayor stuffs the takedown attempt from Li. Li gets slowly back to his feet.
Li swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Li throws an overhand right that lands on Mayor's shoulder, as Mayor tries to avoid the shot.
A jab from Mayor does it's job there.
Mayor lands with a right hand.
Mayor ducks under a wild hook from Li.
Mayor dips to his left and cracks Li with an uppercut!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mayor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mayor has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Li takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Li is rocked!
Mayor cracks Li's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Li slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Mayor can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Mayor!
