And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, md Woeo!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woeo wants to clinch

and Al Abulbul counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Woeo is trying to maintain the position but Al Abulbul is very close to passing his half guard.
Woeo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Al Abulbul tries to pass the half guard into mount. Woeo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Woeo wants to control but Al Abulbul is keeping busy.
Woeo is looking to improve his position.

Woeo wants to get back to full guard but Al Abulbul has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Woeo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Al Abulbul swings around for an armbar but Woeo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Al Abulbul's guard.
Al Abulbul has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Woeo won't allow Al Abulbul to sweep him here.

Al Abulbul is really struggling to control Woeo but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Al Abulbul is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Woeo is aware though and is defending well.

Woeo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Al Abulbul will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Al Abulbul throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Nice uppercut lands for Al Abulbul. That snapped Woeo's head back.
Woeo dives in and grabs Al Abulbul's left leg, looking for a takedown. Al Abulbul pushes down on Woeo's head and hops out.
Al Abulbul closes the distance and clinches up with Woeo, looking for a takedown. Al Abulbul pushes Woeo against the cage but Woeo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
md Woeo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Al Abulbul counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Woeo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Al Abulbul swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Al Abulbul stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Al Abulbul wants it to stay on the feet.
Abdullah Al Abulbul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of md Woeo.
Al Abulbul cracks Woeo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

A slapping leg kick lands for Al Abulbul.
Woeo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Al Abulbul is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Woeo is breathing heavily.
Al Abulbul scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Woeo wants to clinch but Al Abulbul slips to the side

so Al Abulbul counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Al Abulbul is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Woeo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Al Abulbul is trying to trip Woeo. He has hold of a leg but Woeo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Al Abulbul persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
