Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cerventes Bison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes's entrance music is Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. A fine choice. Bison is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Beast by Tech N9ne. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bison throws a series of punches but Barnes avoids them all with ease.
Barnes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bison.
Barnes looks to throw the jab but Bison is out of range.
Bison misses with a straight right.
Bison misses with a looping left.
A jab from Bison misses.
Barnes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bison.
Bison avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Bison moves away from the strike by Barnes.
A slow jab from Bison misses its intended target.

and Barnes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bison lands a right hook to the body.
Barnes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bison.
Barnes lands with an overhand left.
Bison scores with a kick to the midsection.
Barnes tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Barnes throws a wild body kick that Bison sees coming a mile off.
Barnes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bison can pounce on him.
Barnes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barnes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bison on the side of the head.
Bison tries to clinch up.
Bison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barnes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nate Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bison was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes.

Bison tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bison bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Good standup being displayed there by Barnes as he connects with a hook.

Barnes cracks Bison with a right hand to the side of the head.
Barnes thuds his right hand into Bison's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Bison closes the distance but Barnes moves to the side
and Bison takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Barnes lands with a slapping head kick.
Bison throws a head kick but Barnes moves out of range.
Barnes is looking to slow Bison down with leg kicks.

Bison tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barnes swivels and escapes.

Cerventes Bison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bison fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Bison.

Bison moves to clinch but Barnes breaks away
letting Barnes counter with a right hand.

Bison takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Bison looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes lands a brutal head kick. Bison looks out on his feet and Barnes throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Nate Barnes thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
