Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pelia Dor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luigi Marshall has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luigi Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pelia Dor!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshall looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dor wants to get back to full guard.
Marshall prevents Dor from standing back up.
Dor keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dor tries to roll over but Marshall keeps him under control.
Marshall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marshall wants to work for an arm triangle but Dor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Marshall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dor is doing well to control the position and prevent Marshall from advancing to side control.
Dor is looking to control Marshall's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dor avoid being mounted?

Marshall wants to work for an arm triangle but Dor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Marshall is looking for a kimura but Dor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Marshall to get the leverage.
Dor is concentrating on defense, preventing Marshall from advancing position.
Dor throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Marshall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dor has one foot on Marshall's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

With the fighters up against the cage, Marshall throws an elbow but misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Marshall.
Dor tries to pull guard but Marshall holds him up against the cage and eventually Dor drops back down to his feet.
Marshall wants to get back to striking at distance but Dor won't allow it.

Marshall gets control of Dor's arms and successfully pulls guard. Marshall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Dor controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dor throws an elbow that misses. Marshall uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dor's guard. Nice move by Marshall!

Dor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marshall is aware though and is defending well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dor is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Luigi Marshall will probably get the nod.

A frustrated look appears on Dor's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Marshall tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dor avoids it.

Dor is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Marshall to keep the fight standing.

Marshall jumps into guard, dragging Dor to the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luigi Marshall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Marshall has managed to clinch.
Marshall lands a shoulder strike.
Dor is trying to break the clinch but Marshall is controlling him.

Marshall working aggressively here.
Dor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Marshall tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dor smiles and moves away.
Marshall leaves Dor with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Dor throws a sloppy head kick

and Marshall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dor's guard.
Marshall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Marshall chips away with some ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marshall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
