The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardona throws a push kick but Fulton slaps the foot to one side.

Fulton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cardona sprawls well initially but Fulton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fulton tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cardona controls his leg.

Fulton is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Cardona still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Cardona has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Fulton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cardona wants to control the action but instead Fulton gets a body lock and reverses into Cardona's guard! Nice work!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cardona lands a couple of good shots and Fulton has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Fulton is trying to defend against the choke here but Cardona has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Cardona Tightens the hold and Fulton taps out furiously! Cardona displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Jose Cardona decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
