Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Derouin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Lava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lava is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Numero 1. Remy Lava is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Derouin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Remy Lava!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Derouin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lava sprawls well initially but Derouin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lava is trying to stand up here but Derouin is controlling him well.

Derouin wants to work for an arm triangle but Lava is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Lava manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Lava lands a head kick!

Derouin forces Lava back against the cage and clinches.
Derouin has had enough of the clinch but Lava keeps him there for the moment.
Derouin misses with an elbow strike.
Derouin looking for a takedown.
Derouin tries to score a body lock takedown but Lava shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Lava manages to break the clinch.
Derouin shoots for a takedown but Lava saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Derouin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice shot lands for Lava.

It looks like David Derouin has been cut.
Lava lands a jab to the nose.
Derouin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lava swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Lava does no damage.
Derouin moves in looking to clinch but Lava pushes him off.
Remy Lava is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lava. Derouin shrugs it off though.
Derouin is breathing heavily.
Derouin shoots for a double leg takedown but Lava sprawls well. He's pushed Derouin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lava connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Derouin to the floor! Lava dives in looking for the finish!

Derouin is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lava stands up out of the half guard.
Oh Derouin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lava throws an uppercut from hell that sends Derouin clean off his feet! He's out cold! Lava stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
