The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Briggs defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bojan.
Briggs lunges at Bojan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bojan's hand.
Briggs lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
DeMarcus Bojan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bojan walks into a jab.
Bojan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Briggs avoids it really well and circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bojan.

Briggs shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bojan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bojan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Briggs defends it easily.

Briggs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bojan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Briggs has managed to get both his arms back between Bojan's legs - danger averted.

Bojan wants to control the action here but instead Briggs manages to pass to full mount!
Briggs lands a heavy elbow.
Bojan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Briggs takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Briggs not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Briggs is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bojan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Briggs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bojan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bojan doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bojan controls Briggs momentarily but Briggs frees himself.
Briggs lands a couple of digs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big strike lands for Bojan! That's really hurt Briggs and he's turned his back - Bojan keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Bojan jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
