Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cocoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doyel Rail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cocoa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doyel Rail!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rail throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rail waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Cocoa.
Rail misses with a series of wild punches.
Rail takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rail looks to throw the jab but Cocoa is out of range.
Rail scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Cocoa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rail.
Rail stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed right hand from Rail misses the target.
Cocoa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rail swivels and escapes.
Rail throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Cocoa gets a takedown into half guard.
Cocoa missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Rail is trying to stand back up but Cocoa is controlling him
Rail won't allow Cocoa to pass to mount.

Cocoa seems to be working for a kimura but Rail defends the submission attempt.
Cocoa is looking to take a break and control but Rail is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cocoa is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Cocoa is looking to pass Rail's guard but actually Rail recovers to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Rail jabs Cocoa right on the nose. Cocoa blinks but takes it well.

and Cocoa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Cocoa is breathing heavily.
Rail is staying active underneath Cocoa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rail makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rail.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cocoa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cocoa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Cocoa won't allow Rail to sweep him here.

Cocoa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Cocoa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Doyel Rail seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Cocoa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rail manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cocoa manages to get himself to full guard.

Rail tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cocoa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A close round but Doyel Rail will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rail throws the left hand but Cocoa avoids the punch easily.
Cocoa has his takedown stuffed
and Rail counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cocoa thinking.
Rail lands a nice shot to the body.
Nick Cocoa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Cocoa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rail's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rail has his feet on Cocoa's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Rail lands a with a good body shot.
Rail looks to land a combination. Cocoa sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Cocoa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cocoais looking to pass into half guard but Rail pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rail is in guard.
Cocoa controls Rail momentarily but Rail frees himself.

Cocoa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rail stacks Cocoa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rail!

Cocoa tries to improve position but can't.
Rail is looking to take a break and control but Cocoa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cocoa looks to move to half guard but instead Rail has passed into mount! Damn!

A close second round but Doyel Rail will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Rail rolls, trying to escape but Cocoa keeps control of the position.

Cocoa tightening his grip on Rail, looking for the choke.
Cocoa is looking to control Rail but Rail is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Rail defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cocoa's arms.
Rail wants to control his opponent's hands but Cocoa gets his hands free.

Cocoa has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
You can see the frustration on Rail's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Nick Cocoa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rail breaks Cocoa's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Cocoa is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rail has his hands clasped together but Cocoa extends an breaks Rail's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Cocoa.
