Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Semore Butkiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hi Kick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butkiss comes to the cage accompanied by Mama said. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Semore Butkiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, hi Kick!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butkiss stuffs the takedown attempt from Kick. Kick gets slowly back to his feet.
Butkiss looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Butkiss avoids a kick to the body.
Kick tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Butkiss counters with a straight right hand.

Kick moves into the clinch successfully.
Butkiss blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kick misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Butkiss.
Kick tries to pull guard but Butkiss won't allow it.

Kick turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kick manages to end up in side control.
Kick misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kick postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Kick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Butkiss is looking to regain half guard here but Kick keeps moving and retains side control.

An elbow from Kick crashes against the mat.
Butkiss holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Butkiss regains half guard, as Kick was trying to land strikes.
Butkiss blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kick.

Kick prevents Butkiss from standing back up.
Kick throws a strike but Butkiss avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kick throws a big elbow that misses.
Kick throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Butkiss works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kick postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Butkiss utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kick's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kick cracks Butkiss with a solid left hand.
Kick is looking to work some ground and pound but Butkiss has wrist control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kick postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Butkiss swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kick missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Butkiss wants to stand and escape but Kick is having none of it.
Kick cracks Butkiss with a solid left hand.
Kick in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kick thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kick is working Butkiss over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

hi Kick dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kick throws a sloppy head kick and Butkiss moves out of range easily.
Kick shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Butkiss as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Kick or perhaps it was just good defense by Butkiss which made him look bad.
Kick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Butkiss as he jumps to the side.
Semore Butkiss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of hi Kick.
Kick looks to land a combination but Butkiss avoids it well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kick.
Kick has his takedown stuffed
and Butkiss counters with a left and a right that stings Kick.
Kick takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Butkiss lands with a nice combination. Kick backs away looking to recover.

Butkiss gets a takedown into half guard.
Kick is breathing heavily.

Butkiss stands up out of the half guard.

Kick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Butkiss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kick somewhat.
hi Kick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butkiss goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Butkiss throws a good cross that connects.
No luck for Kick with that takedown attempt.
Butkiss lands a body shot.

Oooooh!!! Butkiss has knocked Kick down with a huge combo! Butkiss steps away and waves a wobbly Kick back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Kick is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Butkiss throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kick tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Butkiss is in Kick's guard.
Kick can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Butkiss controls the pace.

Butkiss stands up from Kick's guard - Butkiss perhaps looking for a knockout.

Butkiss gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kick.
Kick tries to throw a body punch but Butkiss avoids it by throwing Kick back against the cage.

Kick is trying to break the clinch but Butkiss has him pressed against the cage.

Butkiss escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Butkiss keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kick with a lazy takedown attempt

and Butkiss moves into the clinch.
Kick wants to get back to striking at distance but Butkiss won't allow it.

Butkiss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Butkiss checks a low kick from Kick.
Kick gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Butkiss counters with a solid body kick.
Kick goes for a double leg but Butkiss avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Butkiss continues to drive forward.

Butkiss breaks from the clinch.
Kick takes one to the side of the head.
Kick throws a half hearted mid kick.

Butkiss shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kick is trying to defend but Butkiss finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Butkiss is controlling the pace.
Butkiss prevents Kick from standing back up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kick punching from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kick is working for takedown but Butkiss is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Come on Kick - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Butkiss's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Butkiss scores with a body shot.
Kick fails with a takedown attempt.
Butkiss scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like hi Kick has been cut.
Butkiss throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A low kick from Kick is predictable there
and Butkiss counters with a nice uppercut.
Kick is still on wobbly legs! Can Butkiss finish him?
Butkiss circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kick drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Butkiss follows Kick to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
