Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Haven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Corrales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corrales comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lets Stay Together - Al Green kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cameron Haven!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chico Corrales!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haven shoots in but no luck this time.
Haven tries to close the distance and clinch up but Corrales swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice sprawl there from Corrales as Haven shoots in.
Haven shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cameron Haven. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Corrales cracks Haven with an open hand slap.
Corrales misses with a two punch combination.
A punch lands to the side of Corrales 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Haven on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Haven.
Haven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Corrales's waist but Corrales gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Haven off to one side.
Cameron Haven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corrales throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Haven on the side of the head.
Haven misses with a takedown attempt - Corrales sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Corrales misses with the combination.

Haven tries to clinch up.
Haven shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Corrales but Corrales pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Corrales throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Haven shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Corrales pinned against the cage. Corrales gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Haven doesn't manage to clinch there - Corrales circles away.
Corrales misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Corrales connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Haven momentarily.
Corrales throws a one two combo.
Haven is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Haven looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corrales is fending him off so far but Haven persists. Nope, Corrales circles away and we're back to standing.
Corrales looks to land a combination but Haven avoids it well.
Corrales lands with an uppercut that bounces Haven off the cage and back into rage.
Corrales tries to bum rush Haven with a series of wild strikes but Haven uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Corrales fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Corrales drops Haven with a left and a right! Oh, Haven is hurt - Corrales dives into side control looking to finish!

Corrales just content to control the position.
Corrales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Corrales tries to move to mount but Haven blocks the move with his legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Haven throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Haven wants to clinch up but Corrales keeps it at a distance.
Haven fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A jab-cross combination lands for Corrales and sends Haven crashing to the mat! Corrales follows him down to the mat - Haven regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chico Corrales dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Corrales lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Haven is looking to close the distance but Corrales sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Haven crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Haven is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Chico Corrales! Chico Corrales retains his bantamweight title!
