The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson jabs Penn to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Johnson scores with a shot to the body.
Johnson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Penn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Penn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Penn closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Damon Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Epic Penn.

Johnson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Penn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Johnson works over Penn's head and body with a nice combination.
Penn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Penn somewhat.

Oooooh!!! Johnson has knocked Penn down with a huge combo! Johnson steps away and waves a wobbly Penn back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Johnson leaves Penn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Johnson lands a big right hand that sends Penn crashing to the mat! Johnson stays standing though and waves Penn back to his feet!

Johnson lands a left and a right that send Penn crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Penn shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Penn has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Penn there as he acknowledges the shot.
Penn dives in for a single leg takedown but Johnson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Penn tries to break free but Johnson pushes him back against the cage.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Penn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Penn throws a right and a left that both miss.
Penn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Penn.
Johnson lands with a shot to the body.
Johnson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Penn's head.
Johnson works over Penn's head and body with a nice combination.
Johnson throws out a powerful jab.
Johnson lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Penn goes down and covers up as Johnson starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
