Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Longhold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Edwin Edgar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Longhold!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longhold fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Edgar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice sprawl there from Edgar as Longhold shoots in.
Longhold scores with a hook to the body. Edgar takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Edgar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Longhold moves away.
Longhold lands with an uppercut that bounces Edgar off the cage and back into range.
Longhold stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Edgar.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Edgar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Edgar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Longhold is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Longhold connects with a nice short shot to Edgar's temple.

Edgar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Longhold doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Longhold manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Edgar throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Longhold lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Edgar circles away quickly and effectively.

Edgar is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Longhold's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Longhold has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Longhold working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Edgar is looking to get back to full guard here but Longhold has managed to pass to side control instead.

Edgar bucks up and tries to throw Longhold off but instead Longhold has got his back!
Longhold lands a good shot there. Edgar covers up! Longhold smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Edgar to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Longhold jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Longhold!
Steve Longhold took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
