The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luxation defending well as Bowdrie loads up on a big left hand.
Bowdrie feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Luxation's calf.

and Bowdrie counters with a left and a right that hurts Luxation! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Bowdrie jumps into full mount!

Luxation is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Luxation avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bowdrie.

Bowdrie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
