Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Lomov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Berend De Groot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lomov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Groot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Berend De Groot hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lomov avoids a punch combination nicely.
De Groot leaves Lomov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

De Groot shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lomov is trying to defend but De Groot finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

De Groot cracks Lomov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
De Groot postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lomov looks a forlorn figure.
