Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ollie Strauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janos Prohaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ollie Strauss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 18 - 1, fighting out of London, Janos Prohaska!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch but Prohaska swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Strauss gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Strauss stuffs the takedown.
Strauss moves in looking to clinch but Prohaska pushes him off.

Prohaska shoots in and gets a takedown into Strauss's guard.

Strauss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Prohaska can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Prohaska is in close to Strauss's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Strauss looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Prohaska sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Strauss's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Strauss is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Prohaska pulls his head out easily.
Prohaska takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Strauss is looking to control Prohaska's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Strauss avoid being mounted?

Prohaska is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Strauss reverses the position - he's now on top in Prohaska's guard.

Strauss pushing down on Prohaska's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Strauss is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Prohaska sees it coming and defends easily.
Strauss wants to get back to his feet.

Strauss looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Strauss misses with an uppercut

and Prohaska holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Prohaska throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Prohaska lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fight stays on the outside here - Strauss looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Prohaska stuns Strauss with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Prohaska fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Strauss avoids it really well and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Strauss on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Prohaska. Prohaska obviously looking to wear him down.
Janos Prohaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prohaska's coach down at Axia Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Prohaska's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Prohaska thows a huge punch but Strauss dodges it nicely.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Prohaska thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Strauss's head.
We've been hearing good reports from Strauss's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Prohaska wants to control from the top but Strauss keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch but Prohaska swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Strauss swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Strauss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Strauss seems to be looking for submissions.
Strauss seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Prohaska does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Prohaska is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Strauss's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Strauss's back!

I really don't envy Strauss right now.

A helpless look comes across Strauss 's face. He knows he's trapped as Prohaska lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!

After winning the bout, Janos Prohaska thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
