Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Koschnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devontae Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis has chosen "It's Okay (One Blood)" by The Game feat. Junior Reid as his entrance music. Devontae Davis looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vladimir Koschnikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devontae Davis!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Davis.
Davis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Davis looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Koschnikov lands with a nice body kick.
Koschnikov sizes up Davis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Koschnikov jumps into guard, dragging Davis to the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Davis is fighting to break Koschnikov's control of his arms but Koschnikov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Koschnikov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davis manages to get himself to full guard.

Koschnikov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Koschnikov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Devontae Davis has been cut.

No luck for Koschnikov with that takedown attempt.

Koschnikov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Koschnikov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Davis tries to stand but Koschnikov is controlling from the bottom.
Koschnikov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Koschnikov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davis was covering up waiting for the punch and Koschnikov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Davis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Koschnikov. Koschnikov gets slowly back to his feet.

Koschnikov drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Davis has eaten all the pies!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Davis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Koschnikov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Davis is looking to escape.
Davis is looking to improve his position but Koschnikov isn't that keen on the idea.
Koschnikov breaks from Davis's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Koschnikov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Koschnikov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Vladimir Koschnikov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Koschnikov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Davis wants to get back to his feet.

Koschnikov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davis as he jumps to the side.
Devontae Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Koschnikov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Koschnikov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Davis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Well Koschnikov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
