The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Houston is looking to clinch but Wikkerman is avoiding it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Wikkerman.
Houston fails in his attempt to clinch.

Houston ducks right into an uppercut from Wikkerman.

Houston shoots in but Wikkerman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Houston dives in and grabs Wikkerman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wikkerman pushes down on Houston's head and hops out.
Houston tries to move into range but Wikkerman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
No luck for Houston with that takedown attempt.

Wikkerman lands a nice hook to Houston's body. Houston takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Wikkerman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Houston looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Houston goes for a double leg but Wikkerman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wikkerman continues to drive forward.
Houston wants to get back to striking at distance but Wikkerman won't allow it.
Houston tries to break free but Wikkerman pushes him back against the cage.
Houston looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wikkerman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Houston's efforts to push away.
Wikkerman works on Houston's body with a couple of short punches.

Houston wants to break the clinch but can't.
Houston has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Houston is trying to push Wikkerman away but Wikkerman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Wikkerman is pushing Houston up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Wikkerman creates a bit of distance for himself, with Houston pressed up against the cage and cracks Houston with a massive uppercut! Houston goes down! He's out cold! Wow, that was some serious power there by Wikkerman!

Zick Wikkerman decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
